On May 17, 2023, China-Indonesia Business Matchmaking Conference was held in Jakarta. The conference was co-organized by China-ASEAN Business Council, RCEP Industry Cooperation Committee, Dezhou Municipal People’s Government, Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, and the Association of Indonesia-China Economic, Social and Cultural Cooperation.

Sudrajat, Chairman of the Association of Indonesia-China Economic, Social and Cultural Cooperation, Chen Xiaoqiang, Deputy Mayor of Dezhou Municipal People’s Government, Cahyo Purnomo, Director of Investment Promotion for East Asia, South Asia, Middle East and Africa of Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board, Marolop Nainggolan, Director for Market Development and Export Information, Ministry of Trade of Indonesia, Tommy Susanto tan, Vice Chairman of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, and Liu Peng, First Secretary of Economic and Trade Department of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia addressed remarks successively. Representatives of Chinese and Indonesian enterprises made project promotions.

     The conference was attended by nearly 200 people. Liu Xin, Executive Secretary-General of China-ASEAN Business Council and Secretary-General of RCEP Industry Cooperation Committee, said that the Joint Statement issued by China and Indonesia in November 2022 reached a consensus on strengthening China-Indonesia comprehensive strategic partnership and enhancing economic and trade cooperation. China-ASEAN Business Council and RCEP Industry Cooperation Committee invited more than 100 representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia and the Indonesian side to attend the conference, aiming to continue to achieve new development of trade and investment cooperation between China and Indonesia.
